My mate smokes loads of weed and she says that its more harmful to smoke cigs and drink and that weeds not addictive and you can't die of an overdose. So why is weed illegal and cigs and alcohol not, I think that weed should be legal too.

A few issues to tackle on this one "Hen".
First one is that smoking anything is harmful. Most people when they roll a spliff, use tobacco anyway then they take out the filter and replace it with a wee bit of a cardboard roach. Breathing in unfiltered smoke is not the most healthy. Weed also contains up to three times more tar than tobacco so you can see the harm is actually increased. It is fair to say that nicotine is more addictive than Weed, but a lot of people find it hard to stop smoking weed too. To the best of our knowledge, no one has ever died from an overdose of weed but I'm sure you have heard of many people who have smoked to much or mixed with alcohol and thrown a "whiety"
So you ask "why is weed illegal and cigs and alcohol not?" , ............
that's a question we could only guess at and here at D-Cubed we like to deal only in facts.
